A chat with the Father In law (FIL)

My FIL is a good guy, we get on well. (Actually he is a step dad, not Mr. Bio). MIL on the other hand is quite possibly the reason my STBex exhibits so many B/NPD traits.

We could actually be pals – he’s slightly younger than me – and as we get on well, I wanted to try and explain about the divorce.

How?

….”well, your SD seems so sweet, but to put it nicely she is 2 sandwiches short of a picnic. And I’m just plain Mr Nice and never managed to tame her hidden dark side…….

The world of the BPD family is subtle and easy to misunderstand or even overlook, but once entered its crazy mazelike structure takes an awful lot of time and work to understand.

So it might just be best to say, we’ve grown apart, or some other platitude.
