Got a 75% on obsessive-compulsive... .what does it mean?
I'd like to have the cutlery draw neat, but my wife just chucks it all in, and I don't go into meltdown.
My desk is a mess, but my files are good.
My wife's desk is the opposite, super uncluttered but her drawers are just STUFFED full with papers all over the place.

It means you would be a good pilot!
Check the checklist... .do it again... .understanding why each item really matters on the checklist.
I think I was highest in OCD as well... .

Hi HopefulD - I did click!
I filled up a friend's car while he went to pay (by card).
Oh! you could have rounded up the £ and pence to a nice round number he shouted!
But I do unbox the little yoghurt pots before they go in the fridge.

The purpose of the test is to help direct our personal inventory. You don't have to kill rabbits to have BPD traits, and you don't need to be a compulsive door knob turner to be OCD. Nobody created a disorder to describe people who keep their desks neat - OCD cause problems in relationships.
Might be worth looking into.

will be happy to look into it... .but note no bpdfamily link... ?
Any reading suggestions for starting out.
I also notice from the poll, OCD would seem to be a slightly prominent trait.
Are we the low hanging cherries for pwBPD?

Found this... .
"As with all forms of OCD, compulsions in ROCD (R as in r/s) are done in an attempt to obtain momentary respite from the nagging obsessional thoughts. And often they do provide comfort…temporarily. In the long run however, compulsions only fuel the Obsessive Compulsive Cycle, making sufferers believe that if they just search long enough, and just keep trying hard enough, they’ll find “the one”.
Brilliant... .I searched a long time, and found the "one".
The fact the "one" was a pwBPD I am sure can be explained by someone; but it's all kind of stacked against happy ever after!

Today is not a good day.
I though I had been doing pretty well getting my head around BPD and then my codependency traits and working my way slowly through the difficulties of detachment
New ideas in my head were going to help me find a new healthy r/s with a reasonably healthy partner.
It all looked positive and hopeful.
Then this test comes up with OCD traits, and the little excerpt above, gets me spot on... .in trying so hard to find the right one.
And I know, despite now being very familiar with Mr Nice Guy traits, I have looked at nothing concerning ROCD, and I am certain my same old picky picky picky traits are going to come right back at me if I get out there again.
Why did my STBex get past my natural defences... .no-one else got close?
Would really appreciate any ideas about what I am facing... .
Now while I like to stick B/NPD on my W. there is something that doesn't quite fit. pwBPD tend to not be out of relationships, and jump quickly into the new one. My STBexW was not like that at all... .she also seemed to be picky picky picky (went +/-single for 4 yrs before me), and only recently said "you really want to go through all that again (being single and dating non runners?)"
Just when I though I was seeing my way clear... .
