I've been looking into printing my texts for court. Heard you could, heard you couldn't. Well you can. I just printed 500 pages of texts. I simply took my phone to an IT person and it was done. Wish I could tell you more on how to do it but for me the IT person was the quickest. What a relief. I feel I can clear those texts off my phone and close a chapter of my life.

Not sure if this is an option on iPhones, but there are many apps for Android devices that let you save text conversations as Word Docs, PDFs, etc. which you can then save online, email, whatever.

It might be best to hold those texts on your phone until after you have court.  It's hard to know in advance what levals of documentation are needed for electronic media.

I had recorded since before separation and only for two incidents did I get professionals to listen, once was for a police report, once when defending myself at CPS interview.  For whatever reason court never listened until some 5 years after the final decree.  We had to play them all, once for her and her lawyer in a conference room, once in court for Ex to say she didn't remember them but they were her voice, once again in court for me to listen again and state they were exact copies and on which dates.  Yes, each set comprised 9 or 10 phone interactions, just about all had screaming, blaming or guilting.  I think even the magistrate ended up gritting her teeth.  Playing the screaming twice really sunk her case.

Why hadn't court been inclined to listen before (or the lawyer to present them in court)?  Probably because they hadn't allocated enough time.  And lawyers aren't yet comfortable trying to use recordings in court.  That last time in court we used two full days.

I will save my texts. I am finely getting heard in court. My story has never changed and hers is always changing. In one affidavit she says I'm a capable father, in another affidavit I'm not a consistent figure in s10's life. Even in the evulation my concerns of mental and emotional abuse fell on deaf ears. My texts will help a lot,  there's over 5,000 so I have lots of thinning out to do.

I use SMS Backup - it backs up all your trxts to a gmail account. Now it's for work documentation, but once upon a time it was for use in court.

Basically, it files the texts away in folders in the gmail account, you can open and print them in groups up to 100 just like an email. Very easy.

If you have an iPhone, the Tansee computer program is great!  You install it on your computer, plug your phone into your computer and then it exports your texts to a file with date/time stamps for each message that you can then print.  We printed off all the texts between my husband and his ex and gave them all to ex's attorney for discovery. So they could have fun sifting through hundreds of pages of texts while we gave our attorney about 20 pages of texts with the ones we wanted to use highlighted so she could see them easily.  She said it was great!  The texts were part of a binder of all our evidence that we gave her summarized and categorized. Our attny said she wished all her clients did such a good job for her.  Lol
