Fade
Oil on Wood. 2016
Sometimes I cannot put into words, or encapsulate the actual feeling of losing my love. It felt, for so long, so many years, as though she was falling ever so slowly away, fading into the away. Beyond, barely recognizable, a form reflecting back, but mirroring off of what, and of what, or who... .

Great post - visuals are often more compelling than words. Love the poetry afterwards too - very well done!
If I was to have a picture of my "fade" there would be an opaque area behind the black paint that showed a lava lamp of colors perpetually morphing and shifting in ceaselessly changing forms. The black would be only what she was showing me while the lava lamp goo kept churning away waiting to entrance the next suitor.
Thanks for this.

Wow, evocative and emotive GB2. It seems you poured a lot into that painting, and I'm thinking it's from your point of view, watching the fade, feeling helpless as it happened? Now that you've completed the creating and are an observer of it, what emotions come up and have they changed?
