Well, I cannot speak for others... .
What helps me... .
Guided meditations
A walk
Self care of some sort like a bubble bath
Reading
Exercise
Chattin to a trusted friend
Idk

What works for me isn't going to help you unless it is something you think may.
Not sure your thoughts on self care
I kinda thought you implied your authored book was on the topic of anxiety? :P
I know I come off as a wise guy sorta but, yet really am just a bit more solution oriented than some others around here who may be more into validating, so take what ya like, leave what ya don't.  I'm rarely offended.

Yes, all of those things. And meds. But nothing really seems to work for me.

Possibly posting about a specific issue of which you are struggling in a separate post thread, could get you a better response.

Not sure what you prefer to put the effort into.
Up to you.
Lol, you may need to communicate it!
I feel effectively, enjoyably, trolled!  Laugh out loud (click to insert in post)
