Feeling like I'm left in the darkness

The days before my daugher's problems started were the happiest in my life. She was a happy child, full of energy. But she also had a temper and was sometimes difficult to deal with. Then everything changed at 11-12 and since that age she has been like a totally different personality. I feel like somehow I am being used most of the time and anything I have tried to do in order to help, has been turned down. Everytime I start to think things will clear up and our lifes are going to improve, there is a step backwards, to a more hopeless place. Now she has also been cutting herself for a number of years, her arms are covered of a criscross of scars. Sometimes she is cutting "too much" and has to call an ambulance. She is heavily medicated with some stuff that does not go well with alcohol and is making her addicted. She has been depressed for years and is also negative about enything in her life. She says she is not able to study or work. Neither of us can see that there isn't anything that could bring a change.
