Wow! This was worth every minute!  Loved it all from beginning to end!

My favorite part, and where I learned the most, was her description of what shame is to a man versus a woman.  I want to admit, I often feel pride for being a more analytically minded female vs emotionally driven one. (Not too judgmental I hope, just was great in math in elementary vs writing) When I heard her begin to approach explaining the differences, I was skeptical and prepared myself to hear in both sexes stuff I greatly relate to.  I prepared myself to hear something I would greatly disagree with, as in my head, many things in life are not as sex specific as many claim they are. However, instead, it reminded me of the struggles of the men in my life, and honored their unique challenges with shame.  I loved how she gave this deserved attention.  Found this part especially, and the whole talk, quite powerful.

I will be saving and re watching this!
Was certainly worth my time
Her delivery, and style very enjoyable, and demonstrative of what she is conveying, pretty awesome!

This video was great! I'm going to look up her other TED talk.
I am known to be pretty fearless, and I've never understood why. I just try things and I'm not scared of failure.
However my husband lives in fear of everything. Going into a restaurant he's never tried can trigger a rage. Not right away, but his anxiety skyrockets and he can't enjoy himself. By the time the experience is over it's like he needs to explode to release all that tension.

I'm beginning to connect the dots between shame and vulnerability and how it relates to his rages and anxiety. It's really good information to have!

Love this Ted Talk! It was shown at our local women's shelter domestic violence survivor's support group last year.  I loved seeing it again here.

“All powerful folks don’t need checklists.” My T mentioned Brene Brown. I mentioned Ted Talks. We found some happy common ground.
