My spouse has not yet been diagnosed but has for several years exhibited BPD . I had no idea it existed but a counselor listened to my description of his behavior and suggested I do some reading on BPD.

Sure sounds like him. I need help in navigating the holidays and long car ride to visit my family. I dread the time alone in the car. Due to a recent blow up I had told him I was going to go without him. Not sure this is best approach.

Hi  new deal now,

Welcome

Having a loved one with traits of BPD is a very mentally, emotionally and physically draining thing to have to deal with day to day.  You've come to the right place for knowledge, understanding, sharing and guidance.  One thing many of us have learned is that we cannot change our person with BPD, but we can change how we react to and communicate with them.  The tools and lessons to the right of this page are to help guide you into being able to do just that.  They take practice and patience to learn and implement, but using them can help improve your situation.
How long have you all been married?  Any children?
What are some of the common issues you face on a regular basis?
Feel free to share a little more detail about your situation.  You've found the right place.  We are here.
