I rejected my ex so many times. I would catch her lying, hanging out with her ex, etc. We were living together so this wasn't a casual dating thing.

I would say " No more, I can't do this, I'm ending this "  - since I was strong in the aspect, I believe it created a high frequency of abuse cycles, forcing her to reset and go back to the clinging / idealization phase to get me back. I would naively think she was going to change, but the cycle would repeat. When we were together long enough for the devaluation session to kick in - I would say "No" again. I don't want to live with someone who is giving me the silent treatment or someone who blatantly lies to me even when the facts are right in their face.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

SORRY FOR THE CAPS, I'll type the correct way from now on! I still believe in a way that some use this BPD as a crutch and know what they can get away with and know that many of us will feel bad and try to be their savior again... .Many know they are hurting you, just because they don't want to hurt... .just my opinion
