Hi rondap1

Perhaps you'll find it helpful to read the experiences of one of our members (lbjnltx) who had a child in residential treatment:
Residential Treatment: Journal of 12 Month Journey

In the thread other members also share their experiences with (finding) residential treatment.

Is your child the borderline you are talking about? If so, what do you consider your child's most difficult or disturbing behaviors?

If it is a girl, I have found several places specifically for BPD treatment. One in Tennessee called Journey Pure Voyage is the one I picked for my BPD daughter. Although because of legal issues she's gotten into, she has not been able to go, I hope to send her in the future. Some others are Clearview in California, Timberline Knolls in Chicago. Just type in BPD treatment centers that specialize in DBT therapy and you will find several. Hope this helps!
