I am a newbie, here.  Ummm... .I'm in the midst of trying to rebuild by life on every single level.  Understanding the issues I'm dealing with is turning out to be literally life saving for me.  I was raised by parents who were definitely BPD oriented.  Needing a soft place to lay my head.  Very weary.  Mighty weary.  Trying to learn; grow; rebuild.  Thank you, all!

Welcome Liebchen:
I'm sorry your parent were BPD oriented.  My dad was and my sister is, so I have some level of understanding.  Are you still in contact with your parents?

Sounds like you had reached a very low point in your life.  I'm glad that you now learning, growing and rebuilding.  Are you doing this on you own, or do you have the help of a psychologist?

The Survivor's Guide in the right hand margin can be a good process to work through.  You might want to check it out.  What is your biggest struggle right now?

When you are ready to share more, we are here to listen.  There is a "toolbar" within the wide green band at the top of the page.  There are links to lessons you might be interested in.  After we hear more of your story, we can suggest some specific lessons.

Take care.  We look forward to hearing more of your story.

Hello Liebchen

Of course you are tired, you are healing from a terrible form of abuse.
You can lay your head here and we will listen to you.

How did you find out your parents were BPD oriented ?

Hi, I'm new as well.  What we've dealt with is nothing short of emotional abuse.  Quite honestly, I can't prove that my mother has BPD, but my aunt (her sister) does, and I suppose my mom just suffers from the toxic traits they grew up with.  My dad is very much a bystander and is blindsided by the constant manipulations that happen day by day.  I have always been dealt a setup growing up from my mom, and then later my sister too.  Always a setup to fail.  Always being told things about myself that were not true.  I was given labels that I did not in fact act out.  It has made me suffer shame of myself and confusion at times.  But what we have to remember is that it's not us, it's them.  How did you find out your parents were BPD oriented?
