Around me she looks rational and calm, people say she is acting crazier?

I have to see her everyday at university. While she is near me, she acts so normal, like she never acted before.
She looks at me, talk to other people, and do that while being in a very calm state.
I have a friend at the same class and she has been my friend for 14 years. And now became friends with my ex... .not so much friends but someone who interacts with her group of friends.
She told me that my ex is crazier than ever... .always yelling while not at classes... .has a new guy and talks about him like he was god ( like i once have been) And that she is trying to show herself more than ever and having a lot of explosive behavior... .
i mean why is that? She hates me so much that now i make her act rational? The bad feelings towards me are like some sort of break when she sees me?

It's hard to say, but sometimes it can be that you have seen their mask slip... .That creates a very unusual power dynamic. She may perceive you as some kind of threat.

Is it safe to say that when you see through their lies, figure them out and call them out on their behavior they would consider you a threat and paint you black?

theres not a lot to go on here. you see her for a couple of minutes a day... .this friend sees her in a different environment for a little longer, but at a distance. surely your ex is capable of maintaining a state of calm at times.
how is this making you feel?
