Does BPD lend itself to being forgetful? And absent minded? Because the BPD person Can't get "out of their head" enough to do everyday things?
I think it's become worse with my husband. He seemed to have snapped a few years ago and put gas in the diesel car we had for over two years. And on this same trip he became violent to his family.
When a BPD can't remember does that make them more aggressive?

Any thoughts or other incidents of something similar could help me. Thanks in advance!

Many people with BPD had ADD or AHDD. And recent studies show that their emotional arousal is always high, and then when triggered it goes higher. If an average person has 20% and when triggered goes 50-60% of "anxiety levels". They're base level is at 70-80% and then they peak when "their buttons are pressed".

So imagine yourself in a very stressing day, think the day before your wedding and the church is floded stressed... .Wouldn't you be forgetful?

Another way to look at it: Imagine yourself going through your day and your mother is walking alonside you all the time. She is saying "Oh, my God, how can you be so useless? You are good for nothing, oh, you look so ugly, no one can stand being with you... ."  And so on. Could you pay atention to anything?

Then everytime they forget something or make a mistake, they are reassured in their thought that they are useless (even if they show as apparent competence). And of course that makes it worse.
