Hi Julia2017
I would like to join
Grievingmom in welcoming you here.
Why does your counselor think your mother has BPD? What are the BPD traits he/she sees in your mother?
I am glad your mother has done some growing, that's very positive. What kind of relationship do you currently have with her? How often do you have contact with your mom?
Often children of BPD parents will find themselves struggling in their adult lives with certain unhealthy behaviors and/or no longer helpful coping mechanisms. You believe to have some BPD traits yourself. What are the traits you notice in yourself?
I think it's great that you've taken this step and joined bpdfamily

To help you get your healing journey started here, I encourage you to take a look at the Survivor's Guide for adults who suffered childhood abuse. You can find it in the right-hand side margin of this board. The guide helps us move from survivor to thriver through 3 major stages: 1. Remembering --> 2. Mourning --> 3. Healing.
Take care and again welcome to our online community
