Hello,

My mother is BPD, not officially diagnosed but both me and my SO work in the mental health business and other specialists also thought the same.

I have been having my ups and downs with this, finally accepted that she'll never change about a year ago. She is old and she just fell sick, and I am very much torn between my feelings. It's very difficult to talk about this. This is why I'm here.

Anyone handled this, and how?

Hi and welcome to our online community

Having a parent with (likely) BPD often isn't easy. This can really take its toll on you and I can relate to those ups and downs you mention and the struggle with acceptance of this harsh reality.

I am sorry your mother also fell ill recently.

You believe she has BPD, what traits do you see in her which lead you to this conclusion? What do you consider her most difficult or disturbing traits?

Take care
