I just need help with coping strategies

Hello.  My husband has borderline personality disorder and bipolar disorder, and his symptoms and the frequency of the episodes have increased over the past year.  I understand that he has a mental illness that alters his perceptions of reality.  However, the hypersensitivity, delusions, and accusations are becoming too much.  He has no sense of reason at all when he spins out of control, and as I am sure you can imagine, this makes it so that I cannot even react or try to make things better.  I guess I just need help with coping strategies, and could also use an empathetic ear.  Thank you.
