Evening all, I am new to BPD family and was looking for some advice please. I have a sibling with BPD and divorced parents who seem to look to me all the time for what to do. Sorry I don't really know what I can and cant say in this space but I don't know what to do. My sibling drinks excessively and takes tablets almost continuously, the police and ambulance are continuously called and hospital visited but nothing changes and has not done for years. my parents are at breaking point, would be nice in a funny way to know I am not alone. Any advice is much appreciated. P.S Sorry for the long post
My sibling is also in total denial that he has any mental health condition, is very isolated and detached from life.

Hi Gre82

Welcome! Your post is just fine, and it's good hearing a bit of your story.  Smiling (click to insert in post) You will definitely find you are not alone here.  Smiling (click to insert in post) There are so many others learning how to deal with a pwBPD. This is a safe place to share and learn. Please take some time to read other posts and to respond too!

Have you read any books about BPD yet? If so, what have you found helpful? Below is a link that I thought might be helpful for you:

Are your parents aware that your sibling may have BPD?

Hi Gre82,

I wanted to join Wools and welcome you to the BPD Family

I'm sorry you all are struggling with your sibling's behaviors and issues, but know you are not alone all of us here have someone in our lives with either BPD or BPD Traits... .we "get it".

Can you expand a bit on your situation?  Has your sibling been officially diagnosed or are you like me and the shoe just fits?  Does your sibling live on their own or still with a parent(s)?  How about you are you still at home or out on your own?  Is anyone seeing a Therapist at all? (you/your parents for support or your sibling to help manage her issues?) What is the issue with your sibling that is most difficult at the moment? Okay enough of my questions  Smiling (click to insert in post)  Just trying to get a better feel for your situation.

I wanted to point out the "Lessons" section in the box to the right --> Just click on a topic and it will link you to further information that you might find helpful.

Again Welcome, I'm glad you decided to jump in and post it's always nice to add a new voice to the group.

Take Care,
