Getting a diagnosis

[Who even is she?]

I am 99% sure my partner has BPD.
We have talked about it in the past and I feel like she might jump on board, but need to know how to go about it. Today I'm painted black. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? All I know is I need a diagnosis to hold on to, because I'm tired of being pushed and pulled in every direction and questioning her as a person. I need something to work with & I think she would appreciate it too.

telling someone, even someone close, that you think they have a personality disorder is usually not well received, for a variety of reasons, and there are a variety of negative scenarios that could play out, especially right now.

shes working with mental health professionals, yes? most would not be inclined to make such a diagnosis until after addressing the drug problem.

but the silver lining is that you have a label and framework to inform you, and tools that work.

whats been going on since we last spoke? did you attend her appointment? what happened that has you painted black?
