I wanted to wish each of you a Happy Thanksgiving.

I know today will be hard on different levels for all of us.  For some (like me) it is hard because we are not with the family we were born or married into.  For others, it may be hard because you are.

But, I wanted to say that I am so thankful for my BPD family I have here.  Wishing you all peace, strength, and hope today!

Thank you, Struggles! And for you too, I am thankful, and for each member here.

The holidays are particularly tough for those of us who have or have had a pwBPD in our lives. Both of my parents are now deceased, but it seems to never fail that I struggle with the memories of the holidays from years and years past, especially from my childhood, which puts a damper on the present.

Nevertheless, as I heal and recover, I know and understand better what was taking place. In the present, I chose to make different choices with my own family. Thankfully, they do not have the same point of reference and will be unable to understand the pain of the past for me because their life is so much better. That's why we are here on C& H, to chose a better way.  Doing the right thing (click to insert in post)

Thank you Struggles and same to you and yours!

I am spending today by myself and could not be happier.  I will see those who are important to me tomorrow.  Today is for reflecting, resting and being thankful.

Peace
