Since today is Thanksgiving in America, I thought it would be appropirate to take a moment to mention something that I am thankful for. I find that it helps me to walk through the struggles if I can see hope or purpose to the pain that I have gone through or am going through, especially as relates to my experiences with BPD. Please join in. I'll start.

I realized the other day that I am thankful for the hard struggles in my marriage because that is what pushed me to seek T, and T is what has forced me to look back at my childhood. I doubt that I would have dared to begin my journey to healing, from the abuse of my childhood with an uBPDm, without having the desire to improve my marriage. Thus I am grateful for the difficulties in my marriage. I am a much stronger person now after T and hard work.

Hi Wools    Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I am thankful for the people who have stuck by my side as I face the past and deal with my present reality.  They are what are keeping me going right now.  How can I give up on me when they haven't?  (and by they I am including this board and the very special members who are here)  I am even thankful for those who are now no longer 'friends' of mine as I have learned valuable lessons and by doing so have been able to not just make changes in me but to see the changes as I work here and go to therapy.

Thanks for the post Wools.  I too am thankful that you decided to go to T as that has put you into my life here.

Thank you.
