Hi,
my theory... .something I noticed about my ex-bf is how he is incapable of handling any kind of negative emotions. Fear, shame, guilt - they all get redirected towards anger. So I think that even if he sometimes realises how he has behaved, the last evening when we were together and he threw stuff around in my apartment in a total rage, he can not allow any kind of shame of guilt to enter his mind. He'll just focus on how angry he is with me.
I don't expect to hear from him again, no matter how intimate and loving and wonderful the 15 months together have been. It breaks my heart.

Was he like that the whole relationship?  If so, did he ever take an anger management class or you two try therapy?  For having 15 wonderful months I wonder what changed, were they wonderful for him and why did he leave.  I'm sure there is a lot more than you posted but this sounds more like a almost regular break-up than BPD.  The total rage and anger is no good for you.  Did you ever talk about it with him?
