Hello, My first post. 35 year old daughter not being about to be a prosperious adult. Her entire being is centerered around a man that is not right for her or her for him. It has been awful to watch her fall so far from grace. She lives in her own home but recently I have been paying her rent. She spends most of her time in confusion and turmoil over her child man age 42. We are going into retirement and I do not want these two grown adults sucking our life forces anymore. I am sad, beaten down and fighting depression.

Hi OP,

Is this a relatively recent relationship? How have your daughter's previous relationships worked out (or lasted)?

It sounds like something happened to her financial situation, making it so that she can't pay her own rent. Does she live with him, or on her own?

I'm so sorry for the stress and strain this is having on your own well-being. Do you and your husband agree on how to handle things?

Glad you found the site

You're not alone.
