seeking input on adolescent residential for 16 yr old daughter

Hi. My daughter has been struggling for a long time and is wanting to get help from a residential treatment facility. I've been looking into therapeutic boarding schools rather than a short 2-6 month program, but I've read a lot of horror stories. (Even the most prestigious and well recommended places do have their horror stories, though.)

I'm considering an educational consultant, too - but am worried that person may have limited experience with this condition or the right kind of facility. I'd like to find an all girls facility rather than co-ed.

One of the places I've been researching is New Haven - but I'm not sure about it. Does anyone have any ideas?

I just have to applaud you for putting forth this effort into better understanding your daughter and to find her a treatment facility where she can get the help she needs. In my opinion, that's true love. The following girls-only therapeutic boarding schools have a focus on DBT and may be something you may want to look into further:
