So I'm totally floored. Out of the blue he called me disrespectful because I looked at another guy. It was a familybseated across from us arguing and I said "Oh wow, they're really arguing"   He unleashed in me and told me I'm a b*tch  who doesnt keep it 100 and he could never trust me.  He told me I used to be something special to him and now im nothing and I'm never welcomed in his house ever again.  This was last week.  I haven't spoken with him since. (Not my choice).  Things were going so well and in a minute he unleashed all of his fury on me.  He dedicated a song to me called No Love and told me listen to the lyrics.  I miss him so much everyday it hurts.

Hi Bellaca and welcome to the board!  We have a lot of people here who have experienced similar situations so you are in the right place to learn more if you choose.  The sudden rage and silent treatment are very difficult to deal with.

Can you tell us more about your relationship?  How long have you known him?  What sort of relationship do you have?  Are there any other behaviors that cause you to suspect he has BPD?

Feel free to post more details and we can help you sort through any questions you may have.

Hey Bellaca, Welcome!  As Harri notes, the rage and silent treatment are quite familiar to most of us.  I would suggest that your task is to let the hurtful things he says to roll off your back.  Those w/BPDF say a lot of abusive and disrespectful things which generally have little validity.  I have a saying, "poison is harmless if you don't ingest it."  In the same way, hurtful comments have no impact if you let them bounce off you, without allowing them to stick.

Can you tell us a bit more about the back story?

pwBPD traits have inherent trust issues... .it's very hard to navigate these at times.

It's a week. This is probably not over.
