A discharge already

I got the call that they will be discharging dd17 Sunday. It’s way too soon! She turns 18 at the end of March so she can’t get into a php right away. This is not a solid foundation.

My biggest concern is that a plan and boundaries haven’t been set we haven’t had a conversation with dr or therapist. I’ve called insurance to plead my case

Hi
MjoBPD
Any news from calling the insurance company, Dr, therapist. I'm so sorry you are going through this when you need help. It sucks.
Thinking of you, do let us know how you get on, how we can help.

Rtc was ready for me to take her home after visiting this weekend. Insurance said she hadn’t been denied at that point and they could do a concurrent review or something like that. If that’s denied I pay $2400 for her to stay 3 days while they do a peer review. I had to borrow the money from my brother because her dad has opted out of helping anymore (this is more the norm, I was shocked he was willing to help at the beginning).
Yesterday while I was visiting she got into it with a nurse in front of me and called her a C U Next Tuesday. I was horrified and embarrassed. The nurse said to dd that she doesn’t act like this when I’m not there. This may have been the first time they saw true colors. Once I left I called the nurse back and asked her to put the incident in her file so that when the review is done it is just one more reason she’s not ready to come home. This is the normal behavior when she is in our home. I can’t say it loudly enough SHE IS NOT READY TO COME HOME!
Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers and again specifically that insurance sees the necessity for her to stay through March as was originally suggested then on to PHP as she’ll be 18 at the end of March. There is not any adolescent php within 100 miles of our home. I truly feel it’s practically malpractice to send her home after just two weeks with no good aftercare options.
The 2400 dollars is a big deal for me (a teacher) and I’m waiting to hear after Monday’s review to hear what the odds are the peer review will get her at least a week. If she gets that the 2400 is reimbursed. What are thoughts on that? Do I just go for it without depending on how Mondays review goes? What do I do if they discharge her home with no plan in place other that the therapist she’s had no progress in a year and a half who I’ve asked to refer her to a new therapist which just adds to the anxiety of it all. May is the next time she can see a DBT therapist and begin groups. I’m just so scared. I don’t know if you recall but just 3 weeks ago she assured anyone that would listen that she knew what to say to get out of a treatment center and come home and “finish the job”. It really doesn’t matter to me if this was a cry for attention or an actual threat I don’t feel she’s safe coming home.
