our 17 year old daughter was just (finally!) diagnosed a week ago.  My husband and I are reeling with emotions and questions and feeling let down already by the system where we live.  We want the best for our daughter and our whole family, and we worry about our inability already to find quality therapy.  We are also concerned about the mental health of our other children, as well as our own mental health with all this stress.
Looking for guidance (and quality sleep!)

Hi!  Welcome

I am glad you found us.  We have lots of parents here who are coping with a child with BPD.  I am sure some will be along shortly to welcome you.  I normally post on the Parent Sibling and In-Law board but I post here sometimes too and I wanted to say hi.

Finding out the diagnosis can leave you reeling.  I imagine there might be some relief to finally have it official though?

We have good solid information here that includes tools that can help you help yourself and your daughter and take care of the needs of your other children.  It is a lot to deal with so having a support network is vital.  We are a part of that now     Do you have other supportive people who can help?

Can you tell us more about your daughters behaviors and how she came to be diagnosed?

Again, welcome!
