Ex with bpd and how to deal with the break up

I’m in need of advice. I think my
Ex may have bpd but refuses to seek help of any kind. My ex and I just broke up a week ago. It has been a toxic rollercoaster for the past 6 years. We’ve lived together for 9 months and we broke it off and he has moved out. I know this relationship is not healthy. Why do I still want to be with him and love him so much when it was so toxic? Help
