Living with a partner with BPF

I don’t know what to do and I don’t know how much longer I can take it.
I have been in a relationship for the past 2 years where we have been living together. A friend told me about his spouse with BPD and it lined up with a lot of what I have been going through. I just don’t know what to do. I am looking for ways to function in this relationship as I am currently overwhelmed and exhausted by my current coping tools. I am looking for new ones.
After a call I had with my partner yesterday, I was able to see them as a sick person and was able to have more compassion. I did not fall in to the old traps of arguing. Instead I tried to understand the wants and needs that were being communicated and how I can have strong boundaries at the same time.
I look forward to learning from from this online community. Thank you for being here.

Thank you for joining the family.
Stop fueling the arguments was my 1st step in making things better. I hope you find more and more tools that work for you.
