Un-diagnosed but I am certain that my dad has BDP. Only un-diagnosed because he would never agree to seeing a doctor or psychiatrist for any issues - let alone something he doesn't believe in. He is horrible to be around and the whole family is constantly walking on eggshells. We lost my brother recently so I moved back home and we are all back in the same house again. It's so tough. I obviously want to support him but his moods and behaviors are unbearable to be around. I don't know what to do at this point other then move back out - then I'm leaving my mum and siblings to deal with him. It's driving me crazy and I'm struggling with grief on top of all this.

Hi  Callie.07 Virtual hug (click to insert in post)

I am very sorry you recently lost your brother. Losing a close family-member isn't easy.

It is very sad that your dad behaves the way he does, when you are already dealing with the grief of losing your brother.

How is your relationship with your mother? How does your mother view your dad's behavior?

Could you tell us a bit more about your dad's moods and behaviors? How does he treat you all?

Take care and welcome to our online community Virtual hug (click to insert in post)
