Hello,
My husband has shown symptoms of BPD for a few years now. It started in the military after we had our first child. His diagnosis wasn't until 4 years later. He received a Bipolar 2 co-diagnosis as well.
I was very aware that something was amiss with him but never put my finger on it until a few months before he was diagnosed. When I even dared to suggest it he belittled me, saying how dare I put that on him. But that's past now and he has admitted to his illness. That doesnt make things any easier.
Now we have two little children and I struggle taking care of them and him. We sent the kids to the grandparents I trust once and it was a lovely week. He wasn't stressed out by them and it eased the amount of episodes he was having; but now that the kids are back and my attention is split his episodes come 3-4 times a day.
I do my best to keep the little ones from seeing and experiencing his rage and undeniable wish washiness... But I can't. It's constant.
He is on the waiting list for DBT, but that is still 3 months out. We are struggling to handle life but I am emotionally worn out at this point.

When you mention he has episodes 3-4 times a day, what behaviors do you see?
