I am new. I have a daughter with BPD undiagnosed

Hello support group. I need support and feedback. I divorced a man 18 years ago that was a narcissist and sociopath. I had a daughter with him. He kept me in court for seven years. It caused a great deal of trauma for my daughter and I. My daughter began displaying symptoms of BPD maybe even in elementary school. She is now 26 and lives with her dad. We are estranged. She has been coming and going out of my
Life since age 13. Long periods of no contact. We have recently been estranged 8 months this time. She began text bombing me yesterday with rage and distorted memories. I blocked her for the first time in my life. She has never been formally diagnosed but she displays much of the symptoms of BPD. What do I do?

Welcome,
It is very shocking , painful and disorienting when an adult BPD child blasts out of the blue.
You did good, even though it doesn't feel like it.
~ The short answer to what to do is to take care of yourself first. You have done so by blocking her and by finding yourself some support by coming here.
~ Come to terms with the fact that as an adult, there is no controlling her, but you can set up boundaries and not be a victim to her behavior. Blocking her texts was a good move. You don't have to allow yourself to be subject to aggressive text messages. In the meantime continue obtaining support and finding out about BPD. There are suggested readings in the library here on this forum. Take a look around, write here as often as you need.
