Hey friends,

So my partner of 3.5 years had a huge and very unexpected split over the weekend. He NEVER gets really angry but he absolutely lost it on me and told me he was “finally done”.

I didn’t really handle it well because he’s only ever gotten that mad at me once before years ago and it was awful. He finally answered my calls the next day and apologized for getting so emotional and said he didn’t know what came over him...but I haven’t heard from him since Sunday.

I’m used to being ignored for awhile, especially after a fight or a split like this one. He usually gets embarrassed or needs a few days to calm down. I’ve also calmed down since and am feeling better and more positive but...

During the days I’m pretty okay. I can distract myself with my work and usually remain pretty upbeat. But it gets really lonely at night when we’d usually talk on the phone. And at night I just feel like I’m more alone to worry. I know it’s only been a few days, but with each day that passes, I start to get more and more anxious that maybe this is finally “it”. Maybe he’s ACTUALLY done and he’s not going to come back this time.

Anyway. I’m sure I’ll be fine but I just thought I’d write it all here in case anyone else was going through the same thing or could relate. Thanks for reading

Do you think he’s still embarrassed by his behavior?

And what does it say about you that you feel anxious not hearing from him?
