Not sure if we are at that point, but dd is cutting herself off from everyone, even those she used to always stay in touch with.  Trying to figure out what is the most useful or helpful thing.  A family member suggested a crisis intervention professional and I am suspicious of those type of folks but want to explore all angles.  Has anyone used such a service and how did it go?

Hi,
I did.  Many times.  The crisis center is good for that particular crisis that is going on at that time when you call them. The problem is that when a BPD child gets dysregulated, the crises seem to happen hourly. Also, when my son became an adult, I had to get his permission for them to come out and talk to him.  So I do credit them for helping me when he was a teen and suicidal.

Thanks @swimmy sorry I took so long to log back in!  She was briefly in touch with me and is now in touch with two family members and seems strong tho problematic, so just going to keep an eye from a distance for now.  Good to know they have been helpful at times!
