Dated a Bpd person for a year …had many break ups / get backs so it’s confusing to know when “go away” needs to taken at face value and the relationship is over.
Knowing when to keep pushing through a push away event is very hard to figure out .  This last break up have reached out a couple times and had no response in the past week.it’s a tiring process to go through all the emotions of loosing someone over and over again

Based on my experience. 100% of the time I would (but haven’t always) let them be an adult. Let them make the decision. If they make the bed let them entirely sleep in it.  If they want resolution, so beit - but if they’re making decisions, don’t make excuses.  They are acting and need to be responsible entirely for their actions.

Just my opinion - results may vary.

Typically chasing a person with BPD just pushes them further away. If you don’t contact them and wait for them to contact you, you may be waiting a long time, or you might never hear from them again. That said, many people with BPD will resurface when they begin to wonder if you’re still thinking about them.
