Fatigue

I am just curious if any of you have suffered any physical ailments as a result of being with someone who has BPD.  I am fatigued all the darn time for some reason and can’t stop from falling asleep - especially once I get home from work.  A couple of times I have actually fallen asleep at work (on breaks - not while actually working) which is totally out of character for me.

I went to my PC about this and had a bunch of blood work done which came up normal which leads me to think I just got a real bad case of depression that is making me so fatigued.  Is anybody dealing with anything like this?  I didn’t think depression could affect me physically like this…

   Get yourself checked out for Sleep Apnea, there is an at-home test you can do for it so it can be excluded or considered for the symptom that you describe especially if you have gained a bit of weight from your depression. 

   Anxiety can cause a loss of sleep at home, which can manifest itself at your work as drowsiness where you are 'more comfortable' to be in from an emotional viewpoint.

I forgot to mention I do have sleep apnea - although they are giving me another sleep study regardless.

I also have the problem of being very fatigued. For me it is after I’ve eaten and the kids are napping and I’m just sitting watching telly with my wife. I finally relax and that minute I nod off and then my wife starts moaning that we rarely get any quality time and when we do I fall asleep. And I feel so sad that I don’t have a partner who cares enough to just let me stay asleep, ever.

In my darker past, I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer within 2 years of being with my wife. At that time I barely slept as my wife was so demanding and I was so stressed out constantly about everything. I was 38 years old, young (ish) to get breast cancer but also it’s very unusual to manifest in both breasts which I hardly ever seem to hear of. And yes I do make the connection between my bpd relationship, mental anguish, lack of sleep and getting bilateral breast cancer at a young age.

So sorry to hear about your health issues with the breast cancer. Thankfully my wife lets me sleep - at least for now. I’m not sure what I would  if she didn’t.
