My wife of almost two decades is uBPD. She has recently shown awareness of her challenges and interest in DBT.

Is there any DBT course for folks with BPD (not for family)? And focuses on the DBT skills and not talk about BPD?

Thank you!

Hi healthfreedom4s,

Good to hear your news about your W -- that's great that she's interested in trying DBT.

One site for pwBPD is DBTselfhelp.com, which as far as I can tell, does NOT provide therapists, but does provide the tools and skills for individuals to practice on their own. They do have a find a provider page.

Another resource is the Psychology Today "Find A Therapist" menu at the top of their home page. Enter the location (i.e. City, State) where you want to search, then, at the top of that new page, under "Types of Therapy", it should list DBT as an option.

Keep us posted on how things go;

Hello Kells76,

Thank you for your reply and inputs. I am checking out the site.

I also came across Udemy that has DBT courses for less than $20 (during sale which is most of the time).

I will keep you posted on the progress.

Thanks again. Appreciate the countless hours that you spend in supporting this community.
