I am currently being treated like I don’t exist. She avoids seeing me(we live separately) and makes me feel absolutely worthless.
I think this is splitting. One day she’s talking about marriage and moving in together and then she avoids seeing me at all costs. I can’t believe how this makes me feel so sad but she doesn’t care at all.
This is the polar opposite of who she was for around 2 years.
My family say I should just leave her but I can’t seem to let go. This is really starting to impact upon my self esteem.
Is there a way to deal with the splitting which is harsh and cruel.

Hi Des23 -

I am so sorry to hear what you’re going through. It’s very confusing and painful to experience such conflicting emotions from your partner. It seems one minute you’re “the one” and the next you’re the last person they want to interact with. Without knowing the details of your situation, I feel safe saying you did nothing wrong. My upwBPD told me countless times he was ready to move in and move forward only to get withdrawn and forward within days after stating those sentiments. I’ve learned that their emotions are so intense it’s overwhelming. Only you know what you are okay with in your relationship and what works for you as far as emotional needs and security.

Thanks for sharing with us. You will find lots of support here. We’ve got you!
