blame texts

After almost a week NC, I just got a text from my ex saying "I just want to let you know that I blame you for ruining my life." I haven't responded and don't feel compelled to but it is nagging at me though, like a bad seed she planted . I keep looking at it. I can't figure out whether to delete it or keep it as a reminder when I start to miss her... .any advice?

Yup... .the alternative is to convince her that you didn't... .I'd rather argue with a drunk

In the new millennium I think we call that cyberprojection; there's probably an app for it called iPurge.
If the goal is to get her out of your head and heart, carrying around tidbits of the demise of the relationship will not help. Best to slowly shift the focus from the past to the future, and do whatever you need to do to assist that.

The auto reply is a great idea. I keep getting messages that fluctuate from "I'm suicidal" to " please don't contact me". Trying to ignore and keep deleting as they come through, but it is playing on my mind
