A few hours of Beyonce and I felt a million times better.

I was about to indulge in a good self-pity wallow on the weekend and my good friend said, "onetruesentence, it's all about the songs you listen to." So, I went onto Youtube, and a few hours of Beyonce and others later... .I felt a million times better. This site is amazing for moving beyond "the story" and onto tools for healing. So, family, what songs made you dance around your kitchen and punch the air, like, that's exactly IT? What songs made you feel better, that made it all make sense? I suspect my recent anthem, Christina Aguilera's 'Fighter' was written about someone thriving after the horror of a BPD relationship:
How could this man I thought I knew
Turn out to be unjust so cruel
Could only see the good in you
Pretend not to see the truth
You tried to hide your lies, disguise yourself
Through living in denial
But in the end you'll see
YOU-WON'T-STOP-ME
I am a fighter and I
I ain't gonna stop
There is no turning back
I've had enough
And, of course, Beyonce's
Irreplaceable
What songs can you suggest? xx

I'm gonna check it out as soon as Beyonce finished singing, "To the left, to the left"

Try the Rockferry album by Duffy. May not be everyone's cup of tea but it is an album full of bad breakup empowerment songs.
There is even a line in one of her songs to "you make me feel borderline"... .
Have a listen to perhaps her biggest hit which helped her to fame called WELL WELL WELL.
See what you make of it.
