Well I informed her that my Grandmother would likely pass away 'soon,' and that I would have to go for a while. I told her this over a week ago. My Grandmother actually passed away yesterday morning. Not once since telling my girlfriend/ex-girlfriend this has she said 'how are you feeling,' or 'how is your Gran.' It's so hurtful.
She isn't aware that my Gran has passed and is more concerned by the fact that I have 'deserted' and 'abandoned' her!
I have to say other that being upset by the obvious and by her apparent lack of empathy and insensitivity, I'm pretty angry and am very close to saying 'f**k off, I never want to see or hear from you again.'

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother. I send you my condolences.
It sounds like you need to take care of yourself and be with your family at this very hard time. I know that you love her and long for her to contact you but my advice would be to surround yourself with the people who truly love you, like your family at the moment.
Please do let me know if I can help somehow.

Thank you. Appreciated. I wish my girl/ex-girl could say the same, but it seems the thought wouldn't even cross her mind. :'(

Hi Griff, I too am sorry for your loss. My grandmother is also dying so I know what that's like.
Have you read anything about radical acceptance yet?

Hi, yes I have done. It's a hard thing to 'radically' except but it is what it is. She will never change I guess. Do I want to feel like this for the foreseeable future... .no is the answer if I am true to myself. :/

Thank you griff, she's been in hospice for 6 months now, and will probably live till the end of the year.

Jeeez. My girl is completely blanking me now, even though she is now aware of my Grandmothers passing. I know she has an illness (BPD) but I don't think there's any excuse for this. It's nothing short of pure evil.
