Driving me crazy but i'm not at the giving up point yet

So my ex is in a toxic relationship with another woman, oh no wait, at this moment not
They fight and make up and have another even bigger fight. He leaves, goes back.
He will come back to me, I know and he knows he finds his peace with me, feels home, himself.
But then he leaves again. The other woman keeps on manipulating him ( not just my opinion).
People dont understand why I do this and I know at a certain point, i'll be sick of it... .But not now :/
We also have those nice good moments, when I just feel complete with our family.
I never chase him when he is with her, I dont contact him, but he does.
We were together for like 5 years.
And its the first time this all happens. He did cheat before, but didnt leave us.
Advice?
