An interesting experience during prayer

Over the past few days, things have come to a head with my BPDxbf. Yesterday, he asked me to never contact him again. He's done that before, but come round eventually when I've given him quite a bit of time apart and then renewed contact. However, something about the gradual shift in our meagre email contact since the New Year, told me this was the end. I felt sadness, but also a strange peace.
Last night, I lay in bed a prayed for him, his healing, his family and his future. When I had poured my heart out to God and was just lying quietly in the stillness, I got the sense of an engagement ring being removed from the appropriate finger. I thought, 'Ah yes, I need to do that' and in my mind's eye proceeded to remove it myself and hand it over to God... .
I always thought I'd marry my BPDxbf in the end. Now I'm absolutely clear that will never happen and somehow, I feel free.

Great post, I'm praying for my exBPD everyday and praying that God give me the strength to let go of her with love. It's pretty hard still as its very fresh since she last came to my house unannounced and sucked me back in, so I still have a LOT of anger towards her.
I want to be free one day too as you are feeling, hoping the prayer helps!
