Hi,
I am new to this site. Been dealing with my mother's BPD for a long time now. It has gotten even worse since my father's death and she refuses to get any help. Sigh. Just looking for a place of refuge and support. I have been reading through all the articles on there for hours and decided to register. I am married and have one little boy. I am currently in grad school for counseling.

Welcome to bpdfamily Freetodream_117
Thanks for introducing yourself to our community. Many of our members (including me) have a BPD parent too and know how very tough this can be.
I am very sorry to hear you lost your dad, my condolences. Did he pass away recently?
Major life events are often difficult, even for non-disordered people. The death of someone close to you can be particularly triggering to someone with BPD since many people with BPD have an intense fear of abandonment. How would you describe the relationship your mother had with your father?
It is very unfortunate that your mother refuses to get help. Do you feel like she has any insight into her problematic behavior? In what ways has she been getting worse since your father's death?
Take care

Hi Freetodream_117,
In addition to
The Board Parrot,
I'd like to welcome you to the family
What BPD traits does your mother exhibit that you have had trouble dealing with, and how can we help?
