I told her to "file the paperwork" and I feel terrible.

I said something I've never said tonight in response to the repeated "We're done." at the end of another ridiculous rant of nonsense or general complaints and insults. I said "file the paperwork." I don't even know if I meant it, but it felt terrible. my daughter heard it and screamed at me like I've never heard her scream at me. I didn't know she was there.
this is like a terrible lifetime movie. except it's real. and I'm terrified.
knowing a thing like BPD is an actual thing - I don't know if that helps at all.
what would be best would be if she got the help she needs. if she could stop being so angry.
I'm somewhere between numb and completely lost and so present that it's hard to breathe sometimes.
i'm so sad my kids have to go through this, too.
i'm trying to be a good example.
but I'm definitely lost.

Hi Dique23,
I'm so sorry that things feel so terrible right now. I can understand your feeling lost right now. In your shoes, I'd be right there, too.
Why has she been repeatedly saying "we're done" ? When you can, give us some background. We're here to support you.
And please do try to take some slow breaths and if you can, feel your feet firmly on the ground. This kind of stuff can really take us out of our bodies and minds.
Talk to us; we're listening.
