good boundaries arent about training people to be better toward us. theyre more about accepting someone as they are (no worse, no better), and using the tools at our disposal to have a workable, safe relationship.

True, they are not. I'll continue reading the tools to learn to set boundaries. I do accept for her for who she is and am learning to appreciate her for it but I will not allow to be treated as a doormat either. Back when she wronged me in so many ways, I had no clue of any of her traits. Now, I'm not saying her BPD traits excuse her from what she did, but I can now understand why she did those things and didn't apologize or right her wrongs. It comes from something way deeper in her past.
