a little update on my situation. my pwBPD reached out the other day about a bill for tolls that needed to pay. I wondered if that was the lead in to her being apart of my life again. well, I got my answer yesterday. She texted me about something that happened in the town we used to live in. and the conversation was off from there. It was like she never disappeared. That was never addressed. She sent me pictures of her kids that we refer to as mine too. which I will admit, felt good to see them again at least via picture. She told me how her sons birthday was. she also told me about the death of a family friend. It was a lot of stuff for me to take in at once, honestly my head is still spinning. I don't understand how she can go from " the kids are terrified of you I don't want anything to do with you " to sending me pictures and talking to me as if she wasn't MIA for 3 weeks. without even addressing it. During our post-break up period whenever I would adress behavior from her that hurt me it usually went poorly. I don't know how to do that now, or if I should consider it a clean slate. Another issue during that period was her being overwhelmed with us being technically broken up, and me moving out. she was definitely having a lot of engulfment fears going on at that point. so this time around I'm trying to be more go with the flow, and not trigger that. its hard to not bring up how we feel about one another, and where we go from here, but I think that is just going to end in a fight and another deregulating episode. I don't know if I should let her bring it up, or what to do. I did a lot of reading but im just not sure how to handle this awkward period. thanks in advance
