Was this another test?

Hey everyone!  I posted a while back about my wife and my issues.  At that time she was threatening separation but wasn't acting on it.  Well yesterday, she packed some things, took our daughters and one of our 3 dogs and went to her parents house.  

A week later, she says we need to files separation papers ASAP.  She wants to do this the "easy and inexpensive way".  She asked me to do the paperwork online.  I told her she can do it and I will look it over and make a decision on to sign it, however I may just hire a lawyer.  She didn't like this (she has ran up a lot of debt and is trying to conceal it in various ways).  She responded in an aggressive fashion and of course said some hurtful things.  She then proceeded to say she will "come by tomorrow and take all of here stuff from our house now".  I am not sure what that means.  Am I wrong for thinking this was a test?  Was she possibly intending on coming back?  She sure seemed hell bent on a divorce, but we have been here before and she changed her mind.
