Hi !
Travelling was the best thing happened to me, I always knew it was because I felt free when travelling, but now I understand a big part of it was because I felt free from my BPD Mum. If I made a mistake of any kind, people around helped me and made me feel like mistakes where normal, that was such a relief! I actually consider "travelling" my home.
I wanted to recommend you this website
www.couchsurfing.com, it's highly trustworthy, it's easy to meet travelers and locals who will be happy to show you around and most people is so positive about life. In most cities there are weekly meetings. I met incredible people and made friends I'm still in contact and visit whenever I can. It's the opposite of BPD!
It is likely at some point when getting ready for the trip, if something goes slightly wrong you may feel you are spending too much money, or maybe you shouldn't go... . Don't even think about it! you are going to have a great summer, I'm actually jelaous as I will be studying heh
