Merry Christmas GK,

I wish you the best.

I am not on Facebook.  This site is really the only social media (if you can call it that)... .that I use.

You are correct that sometimes it can be a distraction.  It's a nice thing to have in your back pocket... .when you need to think about your r/s or r/s issues in general

It's good to have my thoughts and beliefs challenged and "sharpened" here.

this site can be too much of a good thing for me... .I'm going to limit myself some.

When I return to my boat and start on projects, I will aim for a more healthy level for me here... .probably about the same as it will be this next week.

Best laid plans of mice and men!  Laugh out loud (click to insert in post)

While on holiday my wife blew up our marriage again, just as it was starting to recover.

I just checked. I averaged ~20 posts/day since I returned to the boat a week ago. And no, I haven't done much in the way of projects yet. I did at least do SOMETHING, even if it was small.

I really will get back to finding my own way forward. Meanwhile I'll be gentle with myself.

Yup, being gentle on yourself sounds like a very good plan. Give yourself time to recover and find new ways to cope.

I think I know what you mean with perhaps using too much of social media... .It can be tricky, yes and steal a lot of your time. It also could be that you have a need for this site and understanding ears - and helping others in similar situations. Perhpas in time this place will loose some of it's interested. Be how it may don't be too hard on yourself and my thanks for being here and giving your replies. In my opinion you've been very quite polite yet understanding and also able to stop people and asked them to think how they are contributing to a situation.
