Okay, so I feel like I have a big fault as to why we are headed downhill so much. Anytime we argue, she says, "you're so insensitive and you don't give a f*** about me and my mental illness'" so I thought she was just acting like a kid, and yes, that is what she is doing, and as I read through this website, I found out that she is struggling with developing adult emotions and adult ways of handling things. It has become a huge turn off, and I think I really truly love this girl, I'm just tired of the arguing and honestly my patience with her child-like actions grew very thin but I think I can strengthen that patience up a lot more now, because I am taking an interest in understanding this disorder after three months of knowing she has had it, things have gotten very rocky and I feel dumb for FINALLY checking it out, but I want to be involved in helping her and being there for her. I just need to here experience strength and hope from some of y'all. Thanks people, I need some help/advice!

Welcome Cornerstone,

,

Don't beat yourself up for not learning more about BPD. Are you in a new relationship or did you just find out about BPD?

Is there something specific you are going through right now? We have a lot of great resources on the right side of the page. These links will teach you more information about BPD in general, how to communicate better with your pwBPD, and how to take care of yourself.
